Continental Hotels took over the 2-star Hotel Boulevard in Sibiu and announced the reopening as a 4-star hotel called Hotel Continental Forum Sibiu, in 2007. The building is located nearby the historical centre of the city. The façade is restored, respecting the initial architectonic style (neoclassic) and the rooms were upgraded from 2 to 4 stars. The new hotel has 135 rooms and 7 suites (on 3 floors), plus one presidential suite (above these floors), offering a splendid panorama. As a Romanian premiere, the rooms have bathrooms with glass walls. They will be equipped with modern furniture, TV set, mini bar and air conditioning, broadband internet access and wireless internet access, according to the Continental 4-star standards (as in Arad and Oradea). As innovations there are the swimming pool at the basement and the exotic interior garden downstairs. 4 conference rooms and a business corner are available at the first floor. The building also hosts commercial spaces, offices, a bank, commercial gallery, café-bar, a 3-star restaurant with regional thematic and a 4-star restaurant with international specific cuisine, plus entertainment area (including bowling) and spa (fitness hall, gym, dance hall, sauna, massage, solarium). The hall design is impressive, the entire atmosphere being a combination between the classic style and the modern functionality. Renting a bike is a great way to explore the city and bikes are available for rent at this hotel. All guests receive free entrance to National Brukenthal Museum.
